I hate this moment out of all of them.
This is Elena talking to Caroline about how Elena called her a “repulsive, blood-sucking, control-freak, monster,” and Elena refused to give Caroline an apology.
After the hell Elena put Caroline through, Elena should be lucky Caroline even wants to waste her time on her. I hate how people think Caroline should be nicer to Elena and nicer about Elena’s relationship with Damon, but they don’t comment on this.
Elena even apologized to Bonnie after Bonnie brought Jeremy back to life or thanked her (I forget which one). But even after trying to kill Caroline and her mother, Caroline doesn’t deserve an apology.
This is why I hate their friendship because Caroline deserves better, as does Bonnie and Matt.
#Elena is a terrible friend.
Tagged by andilikepeaches thanks sweetie 😘
Rule 1: Always post rules
Rule 2: Answer the questions from the person who tagged you asked, and write 11 new ones
Rule 3: Tag 11 people [or however manys] and link them to the post
Rule 4: actually tell them you tagged them
1. What is your otp/dream pairing/ultimate couple, and why? Real life or fictional, whatever you’re feeling.
As a kid it was always Ron/Hermione so I’d probably go with them. HP was always my favourite book and when I read the deathly hallows (when I was 10) and they got together it was like all my dreams had come true! (also stydia, stelena and haleb)
2. What’s your favorite flavor of ice cream? If you don’t like ice cream, describe your favorite dessert in elaborate details.
Well I’ve never had ice cream because I have a dairy allergy. They make this non dairy stuff which is nice but they only have like 3 flavours and they don’t sell them in many places so I’ve only really had vanilla (which I do love)
3. What has been the best day of your life so far?
The day I performed at the Albert Hall with my best friends. Hearing all those people cheer for us was hands down one of the most amazing experiences I think I’ll ever have.
4. Who is your favorite artist/musical act/band?
Definitely Taylor. When Red came out I was in a really bad place and her music really comforted me, there was pretty much a song for every mood I had on there, whether I needed to be comforted or enjoy a happy moment. And now 1989 is meant to be really happy and feel good, which makes me feel even more connected to it as that’s just what I need to start a new chapter in my life!
5. What is the best book you’ve ever read? If you don’t read, please do so soonish.
As I said before, HP series is probably the one that means the most to me. But I also loved Adolphus Tips by Michael Morpurgo, because the girl in it talked a lot about being lonely and being an only child, which I related to a lot.
6. What is one thing that you can make that you are really proud of (craft, food dish, etc.)?
I don’t really know what to put here, I’m pretty good at cakes but not like an expert.
7. Do you have any weird nicknames? Please share them.
G, Gina, George (
give me strength) but those aren’t really weird. These stupid horse in animal crossing tried to nickname me beefcake… it didn’t catch on.
8. What is your least favorite chore (mine is vacuuming)?
Loading the dishwasher.
9. Favorite animal?
Ehhhh not really an animal person. I used to love dolphins as a kid so I’ll go with that :)
10. Coffee or tea? Are you partial to any flavors of either?
TEA! Always partial to a yorkshire tea bag.
11. What are you most/least excited about re: Return of Autumn?
TRIP TO GREECE IN OCTOBER AND 17TH BDAY
Right I’m gonna tag; getyourjustdesserts, pythagorasisoscelesletsbounce. thestryofus, fallingfool, heidijklmnop, ravenmistique and bananas-in-my-ears. Feel free to do it if you want!
Ok now I have to think of questions;
- Favourite show from when you were a kid?
- You know when you hear a new song; immediately fall in love with it and play it over and over again? Is there a song you’ve done that with which you now don’t like because you’ve played it too much?
- If you had to get a tattoo, what would it be of?
- Who’s your ultimate role model?
- X factor or BGT? (or american equivalent- america’s got talent?)
- What was the last picture you took on your phone?
- If you could become immortal right now, so you would never advance past this age, would you do it? Bearing in mind you will not get the opportunity again.
- What cheers you up?
- What’s the best present you’ve ever gotten?
- Which youtubers (if any) do you watch?
- What’s your favourite thing to spend money on?

Olivia, my eldest daughter, caught measles when she was seven years old. As the illness took its usual course I can remember reading to her often in bed and not feeling particularly alarmed about it. Then one morning, when she was well on the road to recovery, I was sitting on her bed showing her how to fashion little animals out of coloured pipe-cleaners, and when it came to her turn to make one herself, I noticed that her fingers and her mind were not working together and she couldn’t do anything.
“Are you feeling all right?” I asked her.
“I feel all sleepy, ” she said.
In an hour, she was unconscious. In twelve hours she was dead.
The measles had turned into a terrible thing called measles encephalitis and there was nothing the doctors could do to save her.
That was twenty-four years ago in 1962, but even now, if a child with measles happens to develop the same deadly reaction from measles as Olivia did, there would still be nothing the doctors could do to help her.
On the other hand, there is today something that parents can do to make sure that this sort of tragedy does not happen to a child of theirs. They can insist that their child is immunised against measles. I was unable to do that for Olivia in 1962 because in those days a reliable measles vaccine had not been discovered. Today a good and safe vaccine is available to every family and all you have to do is to ask your doctor to administer it.
It is not yet generally accepted that measles can be a dangerous illness.
Believe me, it is. In my opinion parents who now refuse to have their children immunised are putting the lives of those children at risk.
In America, where measles immunisation is compulsory, measles like smallpox, has been virtually wiped out.
Here in Britain, because so many parents refuse, either out of obstinacy or ignorance or fear, to allow their children to be immunised, we still have a hundred thousand cases of measles every year.
Out of those, more than 10,000 will suffer side effects of one kind or another.
At least 10,000 will develop ear or chest infections.
About 20 will die.
LET THAT SINK IN.
Every year around 20 children will die in Britain from measles.
So what about the risks that your children will run from being immunised?
They are almost non-existent. Listen to this. In a district of around 300,000 people, there will be only one child every 250 years who will develop serious side effects from measles immunisation! That is about a million to one chance. I should think there would be more chance of your child choking to death on a chocolate bar than of becoming seriously ill from a measles immunisation.
So what on earth are you worrying about?
It really is almost a crime to allow your child to go unimmunised.
Roald Dahl, 1986
NINETEEN EIGHTY SIX.
roald dahl was calling out the anti-vaccination movement as self indulgent bullshit //thirty god damn years ago//.
Over 1,000 preventable deaths and 128,000 preventable illnesses since 2007 and counting
And this is only in recent history. I can’t imagine the numbers if we had data all the way back to 1986.
And thanks to anti-vaxxers, measles is back in the United States.
